a single remote can control all of the devices
When you connect a box or device to the TV, the TV knows what it is and the single remote can control it now
you choose where it goes in the menu and you can switch to it
the Samsung TV remote controls the box, like the Xbox One they're showing here, without setup
You can watch live TV (they show Time Warner cable) and find related content on the apps on the TV.
And now we're going to talk partners
Mike Angus, SVP of Time Warner Cable
(if you wanna make TVs, you're going to need to make partnerships like this)
TV viewing behavior is change rapidly, of course
Time Warner realizes that the plain cable TV setup isn't sticking around — people watch from multiple sources
Time Warner Cable is seamlessly integrated into Samsung's Tizen Smart TVs
That was quick (and awkward). He's off now.
The new TVs have a button called "Extra" — it's a way to find the best content in one place with a single button
Further, you can use Smart View to send content from your phone up to the big screen — get content from anywhere you want
"Search less, enjoy more"
UHD is now standardized, and has a logo for consumers to identify
Every Samsung TV will have that logo, of course
Samsung is also launching a UHD Blu-Ray player — 4K video, and HDR, coming this year.
Dozens of movies are coming in 4K Blu-Ray, right at launch.
And of course audio is important, too
and Samsung crated the Samsung Audio Lab to work on audio quality
And now, they're doing a sound bar package (HW-K950) with Dolby Atmos sound
(wow, that's a lot of TV stuff)
2016, Samsung says, is the start of yet another decade of being the no. 1 TV manufacturer.
Switching gears once again.
John Herrington, SVP of Samsung Electronics America, is out.
we're talking home appliances now (yay?)
I mean the appliances look cool, but ... have to say this isn't as fun as the TV discussion
touch controls on your washing machine? sure.
hold me back, i'm about to rush the stage
remember, folks, Samsung makes a lot of stuff.
this front-loading washer has a dual chamber door so you can add items after the wash cycle has started
(damn, that's actually kinda cool)
a washer and dryer just rolled on stage, unassisted? ok.
Onto the kitchen. more appliances.
a pretty family in a pretty kitchen look like they're enjoying their appliances.
